Open Dorms

Image
Once a year, everyone finally decides to clean up their room and finish doing all their laundry for open dorms and... --Just kidding!-- Actually, once a year we have some fun and practice hospitality by hosting our teachers, their families and people of the opposite gender in our dorms. They get to tour our rooms and hang out in them or the lounge for a bit. Everything is open door and there is candy, refreshments, music, hymn singing and games. It is also very fun in that it allows us to see the rest of the school we never normally get to see! Connor and all his books. (Actually its his collection of the bibliotheca sacra theology journals!) And then there's Sam with his bagpipes. 😆

Missions Conference 2018

October 22nd-26th was Missions Week at Frontier. Many foreign and local missionaries stayed at the school and led workshops on all sorts of topics including the realities/trials of missionary life, church planting, evangelization to different people groups/religions, parenting, church leadership, child evangelism etc... including an open Q/A session  with the student body in chapel at the beginning of each day.   I was very encouraged and inspired by everything I heard. They have so much wisdom and experience to share with this younger generation. I was grateful for the opportunity to come together and see how God is at work here in the United States and the worldwide scale and better prepare for a life of ministry. Truly, there are limitless opportunities to serve the Lord!  😊 A few friends and I dressed to  represent India at the International Dinner. A few of us students helped decorate the chapel & dining hall with flags from di...

Well, it's only been 2 months since my last post! 😓 Sadly, my cell phone broke while at school and took all my photos with it... including the pics of Utah. (I have since gotten a new phone, though. Thank you Grandma! 😌) I happened to post a few silly pictures from our missions trip to my Instagram page, so I do have those photos. I copied them to this post. Enjoy! Before our trip, a bunch of us FSB students attended a separate workshop on Mormonism, led by Ron Thompson at Tentmakers Bible Mission (This picture was taken & posted by TBM, I just borrowed it for this post! 😉)  We stopped in Little America to get some of their FSB famous ice cream! We stayed at Ron and Wanda Thompson's house. I am so grateful for their hospitality and encouragement. They are doing wonderful work for God's kingdom out there in Utah! It happened to be Elisa's birthday, so we celebrated with all kinds of refreshments. (Mrs. Thompson is a wonderful cook a...
